Water - SC Ports Authority

We all depend on clean water. SCPA is engaged in the restoration of 22 acres of saltwater marsh and has createed 12 acres of new oyster beds around Charleston Harbor.  SCPA’s efforts to protect and enhance water quality represent a long term commitment to the health of South Carolina’s waterways.

SCPA is also helping to monitor water quality by contributing to the Charleston Waterkeeper’s bacteria monitoring efforts through our community giving program. In addition, SCPA is protecting and enhancing 75 acres of bottomland hardwood swamp in Dillon County.
