As the impact of the I-526 bridge closure evolves, more detailed plans for Port of Charleston container gates are being developed. Please understand, this is a dynamic situation and plans may change as circumstances dictate.
Below is the latest information on Wando Welch and North Charleston Terminal gates:
WWT Tuesday 5/15:
Full gate operations 0600 - 2300.
Reefer cut-off 2200.
WWT & NCT Wednesday 5/16, Thursday 5/17, and Friday 5/18:
Full gate operations 0300 - 2000.
Reefer hours 0600 - 1630.
WWT & NCT Saturday 5/19:
Full gate operations 0600 - 1700.
Normal reefer hours at WWT only (0800 - 1200).
No reefer hours at NCT.
WWT & NCT Sunday 5/20:
Full gate operations 0800 - 1700.
No reefer gate operations.
North Charleston Terminal will have REGULAR GATE AND REEFER HOURS today 5/15.
These adjustments are being driven by the closure of westbound Interstate 526 at the Wando River bridge. The length of time needed for repairs is unknown at this time.
