Hurricane Irma Update #2

September 7, 2017

The South Carolina Ports Authority continues to closely monitor Hurricane Irma as it approaches the United States and will remain in close contact with stakeholders and the U.S. Coast Guard on changes to port conditions.

Currently, normal gate hours are planned through and including Saturday, September 9. Motor carriers are encouraged to continue moving as much freight as possible prior to storm impacts arriving in the Southeast. Vessel operations are expected to continue through Saturday night.

Storm preparations will be made as necessary to secure facilities, equipment and cargo based on the expected arrival of severe weather.

Future updates or changes to operating conditions will be provided through Client Advisory (sign up at scspa.com/advisories), our website and social media channels.
