Friday Weather Conditions, Monday Systems Maintenance

September 1, 2016

The South Carolina Ports Authority is closely monitoring tropical storm Hermine, which is approaching the U.S. southeast coast.

As a result, we anticipate closing the EMPTY yards at Wando Welch Terminal and North Charleston Terminal on Friday at 12 noon.

Normal vessel, reefer and loaded yard operations are expected on Friday, so long as conditions allow. We will continue to watch the forecast and observe weather conditions, updating operational status accordingly.

Additionally, considering the Labor Day (no work day) on Monday, truckers are encouraged to utilize the Saturday gate from 6 a.m. until 1 p.m., as well as the extended gate hours until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (September 6-8) for dry cargo only at both North Charleston and Wando Welch Terminals.

Finally, due to planned system maintenance, please note there will be no access to the scspa.com website, including GO!Port, WebConnect or any operational tools on Labor Day (Monday, September 5) from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Thank you for your business in the Port of Charleston.
