Improvements are continuing with Advanced Gate System deployment at the Wando Welch Terminal. Production yesterday doubled from Monday. Today, processing times are down, wait times are steadily decreasing and current conditions allow for increased activity.
To further assist our customers, container gates at the Wando Welch Terminal will be open until 9:00 PM tonight, Wednesday, June 22.
Trucks will need to be past the portals at 8:30 PM. The gate cutoff for reefer transactions is 8:00 PM.
Gates at North Charleston Terminal will be open normal operating hours, closing at 6:00 PM today.
Please be assured that the South Carolina Ports Authority team, the ILA Clerks and Mechanics, and the motor carriers continue to work diligently to resolve the remaining issues related to the Advanced Gate System deployment. We appreciate all of the hard work and coordination of all involved. We have seen significant improvements and aim to continue building on those advances.
